Ealing Music Service Instrument Donation

Guru Nanak Gurdwara Gurmat School is delighted to share some wonderful news for our students and the wider community. Ealing Music Service has generously donated five Tablas, one Sitar, and one Santoor to support the teaching of Indian classical music, with a special focus on Gurmat Sangeet.
The school plays an important role in preserving and passing on the rich tradition of Indian classical music, particularly Gurmat Sangeet, which is deeply rooted in Sikh history and spirituality. Through regular classes, students are taught not only musical technique but also the cultural and spiritual significance behind the raags and instruments used in Sikh devotional music.
These newly donated instruments will be actively used during classes, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with their respective instruments under guided instruction. Importantly, students who do not own their own instruments will now have the opportunity to take these instruments home for practice, ensuring that financial barriers do not limit musical learning or progress.
This generous donation will make a meaningful difference to our students, enabling greater access, deeper learning, and stronger engagement with Indian classical music and Gurmat Sangeet.
The Luton Guru Nanak Gurdwara Committee would like to express their immense gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Ealing Music Service for their kindness, support, and commitment to music education. Your contribution will have a lasting impact on our students and the wider community for years to come.
Sincere thanks once again to Ealing Music Service for supporting the next generation of musicians.
